Inkski has developed an evaluation platform, LILO-Eva, for exploring the characteristics of the new digital printing technology. LILO-Eva is designed to allow integration partners to determine the application specific physical parameters for LILO. For example LILO-Eva can be used for:

• Characterisation of ink formulations
  
• Determining the drop volume requirements
  
• Determining drop ejection velocities, throw distances and trajectories
  
• Determining channel (nozzle equivalent) throughput, substrate speed and drop placement resolution

LILO-Eva is the first step in allowing integration partners to understand the technology in the context of their applications and ultimately integrating LILO into new printing products.

Inkski is focusing on high graphics content commercial printing applications. However the technology should also provide unique benefits within the Coding and Marking industry at lower resolutions (to 300dpi). Potential advantages of the technology within the C&M application include:

• No high voltages
  
• No priming
  
• Low sensitivity to environmental contamination
  
• Very high throughput (to 20m/s at 300dpi if required)

To promote the development of the technology in this specialised application area Inkski is interested in licensing the technology for co-development by Coding and Marking industry OEMs.

Surface Processing

• Stitch-Micro

To support evaluation and licensing partners Inkski can supply a high resolution cylinder surface processing platform. Stitch-Micro supports 3D processing of cylinder surfaces to micron resolution and is a complementary component for the research, development and manufacture of LILO printheads.
